Episode 24 - Week of July 21, 2016

I found myself going through the shows that I have available, today, and I came across Unlocking Sherlock. This was a PBS program that examined the background of Sherlock Holmes, from the original writings to the presentations that are done today. It was so good. I enjoy reading and watching all that pertains to Holmes and this gave me insights which I had never realized before.

While I was watching this program, I was finishing my 10,000 steps for today. It is so nice to know that anything that I walk for the remainder of the day is like icing on the cake.

I also was able to publish my podcast, Episode 23, and do a little knitting on my latest Child's Chemo Cap, my grandson's sweater and the super secret sock for JavaPurl Designs.

Friday has been a wonderful day. I have walked (bounced) my 10,000 + steps, my granddaughter is feeling better and the sunshine of summer is all around.

I have been continuing on the projects that I mentioned before and I feel like my progress has been pretty good.

I have just reviewed a book called Silent Takeover: overcoming Emotional, Mental and Addictive Disorders. To check out my review you can to to http://ksnapier.blogspot.com/. The book can be found at Amazon.com.

What a good week. I have been able to make over 10000 steps a day, my garden is growing so beautiful, I love the color that my yarn has turned out to be and I am making progress on all of my projects.

Naturally, Kim's Knitting - Week of July 18, 2016

I have been following my daughter's blog, Beyond the Schoolyard. She makes a small entry each day and then saves it to post on the weekend. I have decided to do something similar to this but I will publish when my podcast goes live.

Anyway, I have been working on another child's chemo cap. Before I left for California, I had mailed out about 20 caps. So I am going to continue until the beginning of December and then send another batch. I love making them. I wanted to try a little bit bigger this time, but I am not thrilled with the way it fans out, so I will need to continue working on it.

I am also working on my There and Back again socks and a tee top for my grandson. I will be posting pics on those as I get further along.

I have been using my fitbit, which my dear son-in-law gave me, to keep track of my movement. Instead, I have discovered it is a motivator, also. I have been able to reach over 7000 steps each day and over 10,000 on the past three days. Wow. What a feeling.

I am not able to walk in the area that I live but I do use a pilates ball to bounce while working my arms, abs, legs and anything else I can think of.

Today I am going to be starting a super secret item for CC or JavaPurl Designs. I cannot wait. Her designs are always so cool.  In addition, I have begun a new chemo cap and have been working on my grandson's sweater.

I may be able to make one more entry before tomorrow, but not sure.

Now, today is podcast day, so I will just go ahead and share my notes with you for the show:
